Caldwell’s Girls Take 3rd at Hopkinsville Classic

The Caldwell County Lady Tiger track team took third in the Hopkinsville Classic on Saturday at the Stadium of Champions.

Caldwell’s 94 team points trailed only Hopkinsville (157) and University Heights (100). Logan County was fourth with 80 points.

Kylee White was runner-up in the 1,600-meter run for Caldwell in a time of 6:16.53. White took third in the 800 run in 2:52.43.

Keirli Herrin was second in the discus at 82 feet, 2 inches. Emma Ward finished second in that event at 80 feet, 2 inches.

Avery Wells placed second in the long jump at 14 feet, 11 inches. Wells was third in the 200-meter dash in 28.38 seconds.

Jordan Ortt took second in the triple jump at 27 feet, 11.25 inches.

Ava Pickett was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles in 53.40 seconds. Pickett also placed fourth in the high jump at 4 feet, 4 inches.

Shaely Thibodeaux was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 13.71 seconds.

The 4×200-meter relay team of Haley Dalton, Pickett, Thibodeaus, and Wells placed first in a time of 1:52.88.

Caldwell’s 4×100-meter relay team of Chevy McGowan, Wells, Mariah Merritt, and Thibodeaux was second in 53.32 seconds.

The Lady Tiger 4×800 relay team was second in 11:47.97. Team members are Autumn Fox, Annabelle Rushing, Ortt, and White.

The 4×400 relay team placed third in 5:00.32. That team is comprised of Rushing, Ortt, Merritt, and White.

Ten schools competed in the track meet.
