Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Claim First Place at Hopkinsville Classic

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers used a balanced performance in all facets of the event to win the Hopkinsville Classic Track and Field Meet Saturday at the Stadium of Champions.

Hoptown had 166 points, which was 12 more than second-place Dickson County. Caldwell County was third with 122.5 points.

SPRINTS

Janiyah Rhodes was third in the 100 meters in 13.69 seconds and seventh in the 200 meters in 28.77 seconds.

Anniriah Settles was second in the 400 meters in 1:04.95.

Grace Cansler had three finishes inside the top six. She was second in the 400 meters in 1:04.74, fifth in the 100 meters in 13.92 seconds, and sixth in the 200 meters in 28.77 seconds.

Amaya Burse was sixth in the 400 meters in 1:09.16.

A’lreona Spikes was eighth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:10.76.

Arniya Brown was eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.05 seconds.

Lynette Nolan was 13th in the 200 meters in 30.21 seconds.

MIDDLE DISTANCE

Alexis Herrera Loveto finished second in the 800-meter run in 2:41.51. She was also third in the 3200 meters in 15>57.87 and was fifth in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:49.51.

Lauren Mayes won the 3200 meters in 15:25.05. She was third in the 1600 meters in 6:30.55 and fourth in the 800 meters in 2:55.03.

Kaydon Coats was sixth in the 1600 meters in 6:51.24 and was 10th in the 800 meters in 3:12.27.

HURDLES

DeAijah Tullis was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.04 and was second in the 300-meter hurdles in 51.60 seconds.

Brylee LeBron was eighth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 20.55 seconds and was seventh in the 300-meter hurdles in 59.25.

RELAYS

The 3200-meter relay team won at 11:41.41.

The 800-meter relay team came in second place (1:54.77). The 1600-meter relay team also finished in second place (4:47.70).

The 400-meter relay team finished in third place (56.04).

FIELD EVENTS

DeAijah Tullis won the high jump at 5 feet, 2 inches. She also won the triple jump at 31-10.50.

Antavia Shemwell finished fourth in the long jump at 13-00.50 and was fourth in the triple jump at 26-10.25.

Kaylyn Lynch was third in the triple jump at 27-04 and seventh in the long jump at 12-06.50.

Alexandria Williams was fourth in the shot put at 27-11.25.

LaTaijha Cherry was 11th in the shot put at 20-08.25.
