Christian County launched one boat on Saturday at the KHSAA Region 1 bass fishing tournament, with senior Cameron Acree and junior Colton Pyle just missing a top-50 finish.
Acree and Pyle only brought in one fish, but it was an impressive one at four pounds even, leaving them in a three-way tie for the fifth-largest of the day.
That fish was good enough to earn the duo 54th place. Grayson County’s River Blanton and Braeden Sadler won the region title with five fish for a total weight of 16 pounds, three ounces.
