
The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons recorded several top-five finishes and came in second place at the Region 1 Track and Field Meet at Mayfield High School.
The Lady Falcons scored 111 points to finish behind region champion Murray (135) and easily outdistanced third-place St. Mary.
The top two finishers at the region automatically advance to the state meet, while the next ten best times/distances statewide also advance.
SPRINTS
The Lady Falcons swept the 100 and 200-meter races. Jerni Hicks won the 100 meters in 13.21 and Lilanah DeWitt won the 200 in 27.62 seconds.
Camryn Webster was second in the 400 meters in 1:04.12, and Victoria DeLoatch was fifth (1:06.57).
Zyaziah Langley was seventh in the 200 meters (29.28).
Peyton Zelinka was 15th in the 100-meter dash in 15.84 seconds.
MIDDLE DISTANCE
Meg Lubas took third place in the 1600-meter run (5:37.28) and was fourth in the 800 meters (2:34.63)
Sophia McDonald was seventh in the 1600 meters (7:26.31), while Thea McDonald was 12th in the 800 meters (3:07.63).
Ava Roberts was sixth in the 3200 meters (14:44.58).
HURDLES
Elizabeth Allen finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (19.29) and Cloey Neuwar was seventh (21.31). Allen was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (54.96) and Rosella Rajj was sixth (56.78).
RELAYS
The 800-meter relay team of Lilanah DeWitt, Jerni Hicks, Natalie Winters, and Savannah Ziegler finished second (1:53.92) and brought home the win in the 400-meter relay (51.84).
The 3200-meter relay team of Meg Lubas, Thea and Sophia McDonald, and Ava Roberts finished in third place (11:27.43).
The 1600-meter relay team ran the fastest time by four seconds but saw their victory disqualified due to an exchange outside the zone.
FIELD EVENTS
Jinny Joo won the pole vault with a height of eight feet.
Jerni Hicks qualified for the state meet in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 6 inches.
Camryn Webster took fourth place in the long jump (15-00.50) and Savannah Ziegler was sixth (14-04.50). Webster was fourth in the triple jump (29-11.50).
Rosella Rajj came in third place in the triple jump (30-01.50) and fifth place in the high jump (4-06).
Natalie Winters was fourth in the pole vault (6-0).
Cheyenne Enlow was 10th in the discus throw (62-09) and 13th in the shot put (21-06.50).
Aria Welsh was 15th in the discus throw (50-02) and 17th in the shot put (16-05)
