The Hoptown Hoppers 2023 season came to an abrupt end Thursday afternoon. The Hoppers home game against the Paducah Chiefs was canceled due to the rain that had fallen earlier in the day and with Hoptown needing a win and some help to reach the OVL playoffs, the cancellation also meant the team’s season ended without them taking the field.
The day began with the Hoppers in 5th place in the South division of the league, trailing the Clarksville WhirlyBirdz by one game in the standings.
Hoptown will finish the season with a record of 16-20.
