Madisonville-North Hopkins golfers brought home the runner-up trophy from Monday’s Henderson County Invitational.
The Maroons totaled a team score of 318, which was just one stroke behind Ohio County, which captured the team championship with a 317.
Gavin Sheets tied for fifth individually with a 3-over-par 75 on the Henderson Country Club course.
Treyson Raymer shot 80, Austin Crick 81, Paul Harris 82 and Max Clayton 83.
Marshall County’s D.J. Morris claimed medalist honors with the only under-par round of the day with a 2-under 70. McCracken County’s Landon Hunt was runner-up with a 73. Muhlenberg County’s Heath Embry was third at 74.
Madisonville also fielded a ‘B’ team on Monday.
That team shot a 371, led by an 83 by Brennen Cole.
Jake Witherspoon shot 93, Michael Terry 95 and Brayden Zimmer 100.
