
The Todd County Central Rebels now focus their attention on the opening night of the 2023 high school football season after completing an unbeaten preseason Friday evening. The Rebels rallied to take a 7-6 win over Jo Byrns High School at East Robertson High School.
Trailing 6-0 late in the scrimmage against Jo Byrns, the Rebels came up with a key fumble recovery by Matthew Hightower after Kamari Harris jarred the ball loose.
On the very next play, Miles Reding found Travis Eadens for a 30-yard completion down to the one-yard line. Ricky Woodard then punched it in with a one-yard run. The Rebels made the extra point and went on to win the scrimmage 7-6.
Todd County Central now gets ready to open the season next Friday night when they go on the road to take on the Monroe County Falcons.
