Caldwell County’s girls outshot Christian County 33-3 while rolling to an 11-1 triumph Monday night at Butler Stadium in Princeton.
The Lady Tigers (2-1) scored three goals in the first 11 minutes and led 8-1 at halftime.
Caldwell hit the 10-goal mercy rule in the 64th minute to end the match early.
Keegan Miller had two goals and four assists for the Lady Tigers while Lexie Sullivan and Aliya Towns each had two goals.
Sullivan netted the game’s first goal in the 4th minute and Towns followed in the 10th, using an assist from Miller.
Olivia Baker made it 3-0 in the 11th minute with help from Miller.
The Lady Colonels (0-1) got on the scoreboard in the 14th when Macy Bush converted a penalty kick.
But Addie Middleton got the momentum back for Caldwell with a goal in the 16th minute. Miller got the assist on the play.
Miller netted her first tally in the 25th minute with Harper Ritchey getting the assist.
Harper Holeman beat the keeper to a ball in front in the 26th minute and put it in the net to extend the margin to 6-1. Miller again picked up the assist.
Miller’s second goal came in the 27th minute.
Towns got her second score in the 28th minute with Hannah Teutsch getting the assist. That made it an 8-1 ballgame.
Ritchey scored off a free kick in the 49th minute.
Sullivan netted her second goal in the 62nd minute, hammering home a crossing pass from Middleton to put Caldwell up 10-1.
Mariah Merritt then ended the game with a goal in the 64th minute. That came off a Ritchey corner kick.
Lainey Beshear needed to make just one save in the Caldwell net.
The Lady Tigers now lead the all-time series 29-3.
Caldwell’s girls will enter 2nd Region All A Classic play on Tuesday night. The Lady Tigers will face Lyon County in a semifinal contest. That match will now be played at University Heights Academy in Hopkinsville.
Christian will play at home on Thursday when it faces Webster County.
