The Christian County Lady Colonel cross country team opened its 2023 season Saturday by hosting its season-opening meet that sprawled over the CCHS campus and the front lawn of Hopkinsville Community College.
Taylor Morris, who ran the past two seasons at Heritage Christian Academy, was the first Lady Colonel across the line in 17th place with a time of 24:54 over the 3.1-mile course.
Julia Munoz was 50th in 31:14, and Haddassuh Elkins finished in 68th place.
Fort Campbell seventh grader Emmie Underwood won the race in 19:56.
