On Saturday, the Hopkinsville girls’ soccer team suffered its second consecutive shutout in a 2-0 defeat at Apollo.

The Lady Tigers found the back of the net at least twice in each of their first four matches but slipped to 2-2-2 with scoreless showings against Madisonville-North Hopkins and the E-gals in their last two outings.

DeAijha Tullis made ten saves in goal for Hopkinsville but couldn’t avoid a first defeat to Apollo in the last four contests in the series.

Up next for Hopkinsville is a visit from Fort Campbell on Tuesday.  The Lady Tigers have won seven of the last eight against the Lady Falcons, including a pair of 2-1 results last season.

Apollo improved to 4-4 with its second-straight win and edged in front 5-4 in the all-time series against Hoptown.
