A tough start to the match turned out to be too much for the Lyon County Lyons to overcome Thursday night. Paducah Tilghman blitzed the Lyons with seven goals in the first forty minutes and then rolled on to an 11-1 win at Lee S. Jones Park.
Tilghman opened strong setting the Lyons back on their heels for the night.
The Lyon County goal came in the second half when Deven Guess was able to sink a PK after being fouled in the box, battling it out for ball possession.
The Lyons were able to slow down Tilghman in the second half, but the Blue Tornado was able to get enough done to reach the ten-goal rule at 11-1.
Jackson Crawford registered 23 saves for the Lyons in goal for the night.
Lyon County drops to 2-9-1 for the season. The Lyons are back in action Saturday morning when they host Apollo.
