The Kentucky Wildcats beat the Akron Zips, 35-3, to find the the 3-0 start they were looking for. However, they couldn’t shake the inconsistent play that’s now lingered for three weeks. For whatever reason, star receivers Barion Brown and Dane Key have been MIA. If not for veterans Ray Davis and Tayvion Robinson stepping up to make plays, Kentucky would seriously struggle to score points. Offensive coordinator Liam Coen has to find a way to work in his star players and the time to do that is running out. The Wildcats travel to Vanderbilt next weekend before hosting the Florida Gators to end September.
