Trigg County’s Haydon Reynolds missed qualifying for the State First Round by two shots during Tuesday’s 1st Region golf tournament at Drake Creek Golf Club in Ledbetter.
Reynolds shot an 11-over-par 83. The last players to advance to next week’s round had 81s.
Ethan Curling also represented the Wildcats in the regional tournament and shot a 105.
McCracken County won the team championship with a 311. Marshall County was runner-up at 315.
Marshall’s D.J. Morris was medalist with a 1-under-par 71.
Lyon County’s Travis Perry and McCracken County’s Landon Hunt were each one shot back.
The top two teams and the next 10 lowest scores moved on to next Tuesday’s State First Round at Calvert City Country Club.
