After a tough loss in the All A Classic semifinals, the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers used this weekend’s wRECk at the Plex to get into another winning streak as we head into the final days of the 2023 volleyball season. The Lady Blazers went 5-0 during the two days of the event, losing only one set, and that coming to an out-of-state opponent.
The Lady Blazers began play Friday night with a sweep of Caldwell County 25-14 and 25-16. It was the first meeting this season between the two teams. UHA battled their way to a three-set win to wrap up Friday, as they got past East Robertson 25-22, 18-25, and 15-13.
Much like their appearance at Apollo at the beginning of the season, the Lady Blazers rolled through the Saturday portion of the event.
UHA picked up straight-set wins over Henderson County (25-16, 25-14), Muhlenberg County (25-6, 25-9), and Owensboro Catholic (25-23, 25-20).
With the five wins, the Lady Blazers have now won six in a row and stand 26-2 on the year. They return to the court Monday night for Senior Night as they host Fort Campbell.
