Hopkinsville Girls Finish 6th at Marshall County Invitational

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers used a consistent team effort to come back with a Top 10 finish over the weekend at the Marshall County Invitational. Three Hoptown runners finished within 25 seconds of one another as the Lady Tigers finished with 178 points, which placed them 6th in the girls’ team competition.

Father Ryan High School was a ‘runaway’ winner in the team competition, taking first place with 30 points. Marshall County was a distant second with 105 points.

Individually, Lauren Mayes was the Lady Tigers’ top finisher with a time of 23:44.20. That time placed her 31st for the day.

Brice Nelson, of Father Ryan, finished first at 18:37.69. Her teammate, Maggie Slattery, was second.

Alexis Herrera Loveto – 37th
Rebecca Wood – 49th
Evelyn Bangart – 96th
