A tough regular season schedule may be helping the Hopkinsville Tigers to find their stride at just the right time. The Tigers got goals from three players Saturday as they picked up a hard-fought 3-2 win at Logan County for their third straight win and fourth in their last five matches.
The Tigers’ only loss in the last five matches came in a 2-0 loss to 8th District rival University Heights Academy.
Nickolaus Klar, Lester Macario, and Rayan Bernal, all found the net for Hopkinsville against the Cougars. Kyler Delvecchio added an assist, giving him a team-high seven for the season.
Jackson Smith gave the Tigers another solid effort in goal, finishing with six saves.
The Tigers improved to 6-9 with the win. They are set to close out the regular season Thursday night when they host region favorite Madisonville-North Hopkins.
