Caldwell County’s girls will carry a winning record into the postseason after blanking Fort Campbell 8-0 Tuesday night at Butler Stadium in Princeton.
The Lady Tigers are 8-7 after scoring four goals in each half on Senior Night.
Caldwell’s girls will next face host Hopkins County Central in the 7th District tournament next Tuesday in Mortons Gap.
Aliya Towns and Mariah Merritt had two goals apiece and Merritt added an assist in the win over Fort Campbell. Lexie Sullivan had a goal and two assists.
Harper Holeman and Addie Middleton had second-half goals for Caldwell. Addie Cagle added two assists.
The Lady Tigers outshot the Lady Falcons 25-0.
Caldwell keepers Abbey Gill and Lainey Beshear did not have to make a save.
The Lady Tigers have taken four straight from Fort Campbell — all by shutout.
