A tough stretch of the season continued Wednesday night for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons. The Lady Falcons headed south of the border to take on West Creek.
The Lady Falcons would put up a battle in the match but ultimately fell in four sets.
West Creek took the opening set 25-16. The Lady Falcons battled back and took the second set 25-21 to even the match at one set apiece.
The third set was another close one, but this time it would go to West Creek by the score of 25-21. West Creek would then close out the match by winning the fourth set 25-16 to claim a three sets to one win.
Olivia Voelkel led the attack at the net for the Lady Falcons with four kills. Denise Charles and Elinor Arnold added three kills each. Arnold added eight blocks for the night.
Amanda Kalili-Liusa had seven assists for Fort Campbell.
The loss, which was the Lady Falcons’ eighth straight, drops Fort Campbell to 2-16 on the season. They are set to travel to Fort Knox Saturday afternoon.
