Apollo High School in Owensboro will host the inaugural 2nd Region vs. 3rd Region boys’ soccer all-star game on Saturday, November 4 at 2:00 PM. The teams were selected through voting by the region’s coaches.
The 2nd Region squad is highlighted by nine players from two-time defending champions Madisonville-North Hopkins. Runners-up Henderson County will send four players, and University Heights Academy will be represented by three.
3rd-Region champions Daviess County had six players chosen, followed by runners-up Owensboro with five, and Ohio County with three. Daviess County enjoyed the deepest postseason run of any of the teams represented, falling 3-0 to St. Xavier in the second round of the state tournament.
