Could Will Levis get a chance to make his first NFL start Sunday for the Tennessee Titans?
The former Kentucky quarterback was a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft but might be pressed into action Sunday with Titans starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill dealing with an ankle injury.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has reported that the Titans are expected to start Levis against the Atlanta Falcons.
Kentucky coach Mark Stoops made it clear on the SEC Coaches Teleconference Wednesday that he thinks Levis, who has been behind Tannehill and Malik Willis on the depth chart, will be ready for the challenge.
“I just have a lot of faith and confidence in Will and great appreciation for what he did for us and what a great person and leader he was for us first and foremost and just wish him the best,” Stoops said.
“There’s a bunch of people here in Lexington that care about him and are rooting for him so if that’s the case, I’m sure he’ll do a great job and will be well prepared.”
