Hopkinsville High School two-sport standout Zach Moss made his college choice official on Thursday in a ceremony at the Tiger baseball building, signing to continue his career on the diamond at the University of Kentucky.

Moss committed to the Wildcats as a sophomore but his career has been on hold since an injury cut short his junior season, and cost him his senior campaign under center for the Tiger football team.

Moss led the Tigers with a .467 average, two home runs, and 42 hits as a freshman, helping them to a 22-10 record and an 8th-District title.  He followed with a .316 average, four home runs, and 25 RBI as a sophomore, and hit .291 in only 20 games last season.

On the mound, Moss was 4-2 with a 4.30 ERA as a freshman, and 2-2 with a 2.82 ERA the following season.  He was limited to ten innings of work last season.

UK finished 40-21 last season with a 16-14 mark in SEC play.  The Wildcats advanced to the Super Regional in Baton Rouge before falling to LSU.
