A big weekend for the Christian County wrestling team. The crew traveled to Jefferson County Saturday to take part in the King Of The Bluegrass tournament, hosted by Fairdale High School.
Led by eight Top 5 finishes, the Colonels took the top spot among the 21 teams competing in the event. Christian County amassed an impressive 211.5 points for the day.
The team’s top-flight performance was highlighted by senior Holden Schneider, who clinched the top spot in the 126 lbs category.
The Individual Placer Winners for Christian County were:
• Elijah Cooper: 3rd place @ 106 lbs
• Anthony Velasco: 2nd place @ 113 lbs
• Kevondre Young: 3rd place @ 120 lbs
• Holden Schneider: 1st place @ 126 lbs
• Dane Miller: 2nd place @ 132 lbs
• Noah Pulsinelli: 5th place @ 138 lbs
• Deacon Harrison: 7th place @ 144 lbs
• Joshua Cohoon: 4th place @ 150 lbs
• Zach Eads: 7th place @ 150 lbs
• Isaiah Davidson: 7th place @ 190 lbs
• Xaveir Reid: 4th place @ 215 lbs
Up next, the Colonels will take head off to Cape Girardeau.
