After starting the season with three-straight losses, the Fort Campbell boys’ basketball team seems to have found its stride with two wins in a row after Thursday’s 76-55 victory over visiting Community Christian.

The Falcons were held below 60 points in each of their defeats, but have found the scoring touch with an average of 72 points in their two victories.  Fort Campbell won’t take the court again this year before returning to host Crittenden County on January 4.

JaCaryous Perriman drilled a pair of first-quarter three-pointers on the way to nine points, and Maurice Moore added five to send the Falcons to a 27-15 lead after one.

Ahmed Dee carried the scoring load for Community Christian with eight first-quarter points.  Dee scored seven more in the second, but the Falcons continued to build the advantage behind six points for Eric Greene and four each from Moore and Perriman.

Fort Campbell took the court in the second half with a 15-point cushion, and despite seven more points for Dee, the Falcons led 66-45 after three quarters.  Moore scored eight of the Falcons’ ten points in the fourth to finish with 19 points and nine rebounds, followed by Perriman with 13, and Greene with 12.

Dee was the only Warrior in double figures after scoring eight in the fourth to finish with a game-high 30 points.

The Falcons shot 31/76 from the field, including 5/17 from behind the arc, and won the rebounding battle 38-32.
