Edmonson Rallies Past Lady Rebels Late 55-52

Edmonson County continued its hot start to the season by rallying past Todd County Central’s girls late in Wednesday’s action at the Rafferty’s/Double Dogs Caveland Classic in Brownsville.

The Lady Rebels (6-3) held a 51-46 advantage with less than a minute and a half to play in contest before the Lady Wildcats came back to win in its own holiday event.

Todd Central led 18-7 after one quarter and 25-21 at halftime before Edmonson tied things at 34-34 entering the fourth period.

JaMya Kay totaled 26 points and Alexis Taylor had 15 for the Lady Rebels, who also got nine points from Abby Williams.

Edmonson, which is now 9-1, got 12 points each from Shelby Sowders and Jenna Cook. Kennadi Swihart and Julie Norris each had nine.

Todd’s girls will next face Glasgow in the Caveland Classic on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
