A busy multi-sport athlete who is also a standout in the classroom and in the school community, as well as the community at large, that would all be an accurate description of University Heights Academy’s Emma Dill. That is also why Emma is the latest area athlete to be recognized as a Chick-fil-A ‘Triple A.’

On the field of competition, the UHA sophomore is making herself well known. Back in the spring, she made her second trip to the state track meet, as a freshman, competing in the 300-meter hurdles and the 100-meter hurdles. The year before, as an 8th grader, she qualified for state in the 300-meter hurdles.

She was also a part of the 4×200 meter and the 4×400 meter relays both years.

Emma is also on the cheer squad at University Heights. She has cheered on the Blazers since the 5th grade, in middle school, and now cheering for the varsity Blazers since the 9th grade. Emma has also been involved with competitive cheer with the Bluegrass Cheercats for 11 seasons.

Academic achievement, and involvement through that achievement, are no strangers to Emma. She currently holds a 4.0 GPA, and that would be knocking it out of the park.

She is a member of the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society is an organization for high schoolers that promotes leadership, service, character, and scholarship. High school students in grades 9-12 with a minimum GPA of 3.0 are eligible to apply for membership into the National Honor Society. To be admitted, students must show academic commitment, leadership experience, and good character.

Emma is greatly involved in her school community, including the Beta Club. Beta is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America, which for more than 80 years, has prepared today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders. Beta’s goal is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

Leadership looks like it could well be a part of Emma’s future. She has been involved with the Kentucky Youth Assembly the past two years. The Kentucky Youth Assembly is an expanded, educational opportunity in which students serve as part of a model state government. KYA offers students the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of issues, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs while engaging constructively with their peers from around the Commonwealth.

Over the past two years, Emma has served as a delegate in her 9th grade year and, in the latest KYA session, she was a bill sponsor.

Additionally, Emma was a member of the 2023-2024 class of Hopkinsville Youth Leadership Program. She has also served as Student Council Secretary for two years at University Heights.

She is also working with the Key Club, the Interact Club, and the Fellowship of Christian Students, serving as a member of the FCS leadership team.

Faith is a part of Emma’s life. She is involved with the youth group at New Work Fellowship in Hopkinsville.

Standout athlete, academic achievement, and involved in the community around her, in a variety of ways. All the things that make Emma Dill a great example of a Chick-fil-A ‘Triple A.’
