Former Caldwell County standout Derrin Boyd delivered a last-second game-winner for Lipscomb Thursday night.
With the game tied 88-88, Boyd drove the lane, cut through three defenders and scored on a reverse layup with 0.9 seconds to play to lift the Bisons to a 90-88 triumph over the Queens College of Charleston (North Carolina).
Boyd finished the night with 29 points as Lipscomb improved to 15-10 overall and 6-4 in the ASUN.
The Royals fell to 10-15 and 4-6.
Boyd was 10 of 13 from the field and made five of his six 3-point attempts.
He was also four of five from the free throw line.
Boyd grabbed four rebounds in the contest.
The former Tiger is now averaging 17.9 points a game, which leads the Bisons.
Lipscomb will next host Kennesaw State on Saturday afternoon.
