
The Todd County Central girls’ basketball team routed hosts Russellville 58-14 on Friday to finish its 13th-District slate with an even 3-3 record. The Lady Rebels beat the Lady Panthers for the second time this season by a combined 104 points.
Abby Williams was on target with a pair of three-pointers on the way to eight first-quarter points, and Alexis Taylor added five for a 17-1 Todd Central lead.
Taylor added eight in the second and Jordyn Shemwell scored five, while Aliza Wilson’s bucket was the only one of the first half for the Lady Panthers. Todd Central led 38-3 at the halftime break, ensuring a running clock in the second half.
The Lady Rebels outscored Russellville 20-11 over the final 16 minutes to win their second straight and improve to 14-9. They’ll be back in action on Monday when they travel to Allen County-Scottsville.
Russellville lost its 16th in a row to slip to 1-20, 0-6 in district play.
Taylor finished with 15 to lead all scorers, followed by Williams with 11.
