The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons will send two swimmers and two relay teams to the KHSAA state first round this week following their finishes at the Region I Meet on Friday at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center in Hopkinsville.
Caylee Ford qualified in two events and Leanne Archbell in one. They were also part of two relay teams that will advance.
As a team, Fort Campbell finished in fourth place with 228 points. They were 36 points behind third-place Hopkinsville.
The KHSAA tweaked the format for the state swim meet for the third time in four years. There are three sites for the state first round with Regions 1-3 swimming at Russell County High School on Saturday. The top three finishers in each event will then advance to the KHSAA State Swimming Championships presented by UK Healthcare on Feb. 23-24 in Lexington.
