Devin Schutt was on target for five of Todd County Central’s 12 three-pointers on Saturday to send the Rebels to an 82-21 bounce-back victory over visiting Crittenden County.
A night after a barren night from behind the arc in an upset loss to Russellville, the Rebels raced out to an 11-2 lead after Schutt knocked down a corner three with five minutes left in the first quarter. Schutt’s second triple made it 19-4 before Jamison Glass capped a 10-point frame with four straight points for a 23-4 advantage.
Glass added nine in the second, with his bucket on the baseline stretching the margin to 28 points with 4:24 left in the quarter. Brett Harris nailed a three-pointer and John Ross Cardwell scored on a putback to ensure a running clock in the second half.
Schutt connected on a pair of three-pointers in the third to finish with 20 points, and Keshawn Moore and Hayden Strader each drained a pair from behind the arc to combine for 14 points in the frame.
Glass finished with a game-high 21 to help Todd Central snap a two-game skid and improve to 10-13. The Rebels will return to the court on Monday when they travel to Ballard Memorial.
Crittenden County dropped its third in a row to slip to 3-18. The Rockets will face Caldwell County on Monday looking to avenge a 56-43 loss in the teams’ first meeting.
