Caldwell Drops Road Game at Mayfield

The Caldwell County Tiger basketball team dropped a 66-56 decision at Mayfield in a make-up date Saturday night.

The homestanding Cardinals led 20-12 after one quarter and 34-22 at halftime.

Caldwell (14-9), playing without leading scorer Jaydarius Wilson, got 16 points from Collin Whittington and 12 from Carter Whittington.

Mayfield (14-7) was led by Braden Morris and Collin Gibson, who each netted 12 points. Malik Kirby added 10.

The two teams will play again this coming Thursday in Princeton.

Next up for the Tigers will be a trip to Crittenden County on Monday.
