What would it be like watching the Super Bowl in Cancun? I knew how excited Las Vegas was to be hosting the game after being there in December and getting an Allegiant Stadium tour for myself and my family thanks to former Kentucky football player Champ Kelley, who was the interim general manager at the time.
I ams sure fans all across the United States were watching the Kansas City Chiefs do it again by rallying to beat San Francisco 25-22.

However, the best Super Bowl party I’ve ever been to was the one here in Cancun Sunday at Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa.
The staff turned the main pool area into its own stadium viewing spot — complete with VIP packages. Bleachers were put up and decorated for resort guests to use. The entertainment staff dressed as cheerleaders and referees. Huge boards with famous Las Vegas resorts were on each side of the big screen TV we all watched.
And the food? Good golly, Miss Molly.

When I heard there would be a BBQ, I never expected to see ribs, pork, beef and sausage all on a huge grill and I would hate to guess how much was cooked. But you could also get tacos and more Mexican dishes. There were hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza. The snack table was awesome.

And the desserts? My favorite had to be the miniature chocolate footballs but there was something for everybody and plenty of it.
What was also special was to be watching the game with fans from Mexico, France and Canada that I got to meet and talk to. Many resort guests wore gear from their favorite NFL team.
It was just a fun, fun experience — and definitely great to see former UK defensive star Mike Edwards get his second Super Bowl ring.

Living the Dream Larry! Just Living the Dream! 🙂
Jeez LV – you’ve turned into a hybrid – 1/2 Jimmy Buffet 1/2 Willie Nelson !
Not a bad mix.
