Kentucky freshman Aaron Bradshaw was projected as a first-round NBA draft lottery pick before he started his collegiate career. After missing games because of a foot injury suffered in the McDonald’s All-American Game, Bradshaw has not been as good overall as expected this season.
“Aaron is a project. He could be a draft and stash for the right NBA team because he is a 7-footer with a lot of skills,” said YahooSports draft analyst Krysten Peek. “NIL could sweeten the pot (for him to stay at UK for another year) and that is a conversation he will have to have with the UK staff about what they want and what he wants.
“At Kentucky, there is always the next wave of players. That could force him to transfer or maybe go to the G League and work his way up (to the NBA).”
Peek said a player with Bradshaw’s skills and potential would have to carefully weigh a decision that might land him in the G League.
“The G League is not as rainbow and sunshine as some people think,” Peek said. “Players are figuring out they can make more NIL money in college (than in the G League).
“And being 7 feet tall and flying Southwest or some other airline from Birmingham to North Dakota to play in a game with maybe 600 people there is not the most exciting life.”

As he has done for 14 years, the fraud will tell Bradshaw that his future is elsewhere, and the fraud will show him the door, pat Bradshaw’s fanny a couple of times on his way to the NBA draft.

I would love to see him come back, but Cal’s philosophy is go for the money. If someone holds a dollar bill in front of you, follow it like a blue tick hound! If I remember correctly, former players have said they wanted to come back another year, and Cal told them NO. Cal’s obsession with notoriety from the NBA and money for his players as fast as possible has decimated his own program. Cal has no desire to be known as a great college coach, his desire is to be known for getting kids a big pay day, period!
Another thing Cal has said, and it is true, is that it is not the first contract that will get you generational money if you aren’t drafted in the lottery. It would be rare for AB to have handlers looking out for his long-term advantage, but one can always hope.
For a kid to come back a second year is to say he is not good enough for the G league. No NBA wannabe wants that label.

David is just a Calipari lover who is in fear of getting another Billy Clyde when the fraud is gone. I used to be a Calipari lover until the 2015 loss to Wisconsin. I have always and will always love Kentucky, but not the fraud. Calipari hasn’t done nothing but run our program into the ground while prancing around making excuses since 2015. It’s not just me saying it…everyone is saying it. David has to take his frustrations out on someone, let it be me considering the source.
If u can do better then what he done in 2015 then by all means jump on and take his place but there is no coach out there that could have keep his kids focused on a seacon like cal did so complain and cry all u won’t

Depends some on how he finishes the year. Right today, he looks like an on the fence guy, go now and roll the dice, come back for a full 2nd year which will be a much stronger year for him, get himself into a top 10 draft position. IMO, with NIL, he will have a hard decision.

Cal is a complex character. But so were Patino & Tubby etc. Cal seems to take care of his players and balance the huge egos and demands that come with exceptional raw talent. It is painful to watch the lack of defense and joyful to watch the offense when it’s clicking. The NC game in Atlanta was great fun to witness. I’m excited to see what the next 6 weeks will bring as the team seems to have discovered their defensive capacity!
Only thing Cal wants is to brag how many players are in the NBA and how much money they make…how many times does he talk about final 4’s or champions UK has won. 1 championship and no final 4’s since 2015
That’s fact that Cal doesn’t care about winning title he’s only concerned about sending his players to the NBA to make a decent living for them their families . You want to win you better start looking for another coach . Don’t think he’s wht Ky wants anymore.
When I moved to Cincinnati 30 years ago. I noticed right away that the base there had alot of fair weather fans. When the team did well they would be supported, but if not they would turn their back on the team. Didn’t matter both the college teams or the provisional teams. I’m from Lexington and have always been loyal to the Wildcats. Both the players and the coaches. True dedicated fans should support the team in good times and bad and be proud to be a Wildcat fan.if you can’t do that, I believe you are just another fair weather fan. Which is being part of the problem. I hope can find peace and joy in your life in good times and bad. Life is way to short to be a Grumpy Gus or a Negative Nance. GO CATS!

I’ve been a Kentucky wild cat fan for over 50 years and I always will but I don’t see any other school winning every year either and all you people who are always complaining about one coach or the next need to keep their negativity to themselves and bleed blue show some pride and let the coaches coach and we’ll do the cheerleading for our team not yours because you’d have a new coach and players every month if you could and that shows you are not a true blue blood you’re just a bunch of crazy cry babies
I am a Kentucky fan in any sport that is being played by a team from U.K.These idiots that do nothing but run their mouths about Coach Cal must realize that the players read the poison that they spread, and that hurts the team in and puts doubt in those young minds.Everybody needs to be on the same page, and that negative talk just hurts everybody in coaches,players, and fans.
