The Caldwell County Tiger baseball team traveled to Mayfield Saturday afternoon for its first preseason scrimmage.
Caldwell led 6-4 through six innings before pulling its starters.
Mayfield played its starters a little longer and came back to win the scrimmage 15-9.
The Tigers are scheduled to play their final scrimmage on Tuesday when they go to Hopkinsville High School.
Caldwell will open the regular season on Monday, March 11, at home against Livingston Central.
