Three Trigg County teams picked up Top 15 finishes over the weekend at an early season fishing tournament hosted by Marshall County High School. The tournament took place Saturday at Kentucky Dam Marina.
According to the updated final results from Marshall County High School, the highest finishing team for the Wildcats was the pairing of Gentry Hyde and Braxton Hargrove. The pair caught four fish totalling 12.07 pounds. That weight total put them in 9th place.
Thomas Hawkins and Brayden Jones also snagged four fish on the day. The total weight of their catch came in a t 11.14 pounds, placing them in 13th place.
The Trigg duo of Wyatt Rogers and Stephen Erdman was right behind Hawkins and Jones, bringing in a catch of four fish with a total weight of 11.04 pounds.
The Calloway County duo of Matthew Jones and Bryson Dennis took 1st place on the day with a catch of five fish with a total weight of 19.10 pounds.
