The Christian County Lady Colonels had their bats in mid-season form Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Colonels rapped out 11 hits on their way to an 11-2 win over the Todd County Central Lady Rebels in their final preseason scrimmage in Elkton.
Christian County scored 10 of the 11 runs in their final three at-bats in the six inning scrimmage. The game was 11-0 heading into the bottom of the 6th, when the Lady Rebels put together a two-run inning.
Jayda Turner led the attack for the Lady Colonels, going 3-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Jazmira Tejada had her second big scrimmage with a 2-3 performance at the plate and driving in a pair of runs.
Gracie Harned and Avery Adcock also had two hits each for Christian County.
Freshman Naomi Gammon connected for a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to score the Lady Rebels only runs of the scrimmage.
Gracie Harned went four innings in the circle for Christian County, giving up no runs on two hits and striking out five.
Addison Woodall, after giving up a run in the top of the first, settled in to go three innings for the Lady Rebels, She gave up just the one run on three hits, striking out six while walking three.
