Hoptown Girls Claim Four Top 10s at Henderson Opener

Hopkinsville had four finishes inside the top 10 and came in ninth place at the Henderson Mom Clinic Colonel Classic on Saturday.

Hopkinsville scored 30 points to finish in ninth place, three more than 10th place University Heights Academy.

Amaya Burse was second in the triple jump with a distance of 29-04.

Lauren Mayes finished in sixth place in the 3200-meter run in 13:21.34 and finished in 10th place in the 1600 meters in 6:10.88.

Antavia Shemwell finished sixth place in the triple jump with a personal best distance of 28-01 and was 11th place in the long jump at 11-08.5.

Kaniya Jackson finished 10th in the long jump at 11-11.50.

Ollia Dixon finished in 11th place in the 100-meter hurdles in 20.72 seconds.

Kaydon Coats finished in 11th place in the 800 meters in 2:56.13 and was 12th in the 3200 meters in 15:18.75.

Arniya Brown was 12th in the 100-meter dash in 14.46 seconds.

Aireona Spikes was 12th in the 200 meters in 30.50 seconds.

Jyasia Davie was 13th in the 100-meter hurdles in 21.71.

Jakaylah Pettus finished 13th in the shot put with a toss of 19-04 and was 15th in the discus throw (42-02).

Anniriah Settles finished in 13th place in the 400 meters in 1:10.44.

Janiyah Rhodes came in 14th in the 100-meter dash in 14.63 seconds.

Kalajsha Rowe was 16th in the 200-meter dash in 31.76 seconds.

Rebecca Wood was 16th in the 1600 meters in 6:56.62.

Grace Cansler was 18th in the 400 meters in 1:11.78.

The 800-meter relay team came in fourth place in 1:58.28.

The 3200-meter relay team finished in fifth place in 11:41.32.

The 1600-meter relay team also came in fifth place in 4:41.24.

The 400-meter relay team came in seventh place in 56.21 seconds.
