Two years ago, the Lyon County Lyons were a great story just by reaching the Sweet 16. Last year, the Lyons were probably a darkhorse team at Rupp Arena. This year, the Lyons make their third straight trip to the UK HealthCARE Boys’ Sweet 16 and are considered one of the favorites in the tournament.
During a Zoom media conference Monday, Coach Ryan Perry admitted this trip feels different.

I hope they get their a$$ beat and I’m a UK fan. Can’t Stand how he moved around school to school in west ky. Saw perry act like a total jerk in middle school getting in players faces trash talking before the game even started. Should have been kicked out. Kid will suck at UK!
You can’t blame the kid. I watched him growing up until they moved. He was always respectful from what I observed. I’m sure that if he wasn’t his Dad would shoulder the responsibility. Middle School was a long time ago. Enjoy the game. Remember the action on the court is owned by those on the sidelines.
