Trigg County’s Tember Oliver enjoyed a perfect 4/4 night at the plate and picked up her third win in the circle on Wednesday to lead the Lady Wildcats to a 12-2 victory over 8th-District rivals Crittenden County.
The Lady Wildcats bounced back from a loss to Christian County on Tuesday to even their record at 3-3 ahead of a visit from Logan County on Thursday. Crittenden County dropped its second straight to slip to 3-2.
Oliver got started on a four-RBI night with a double in the first, followed by a single by Kady Fuller to make it 2-0. Madilynn Smith and Kiley Slone followed with RBI singles to double the Lady Wildcats’ advantage.
The Lady Rockets got to Oliver in the second, pushing a run across on Aubre Conyer’s two-out single. But Trigg County responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning on Oliver’s second RBI, a run-scoring single by Brynlee Smock, and Slone’s RBI double to left field.

Elle McDaniel drove in a run with a single in the top of the third, but that would be all the offense Oliver would allow the Lady Rockets. Oliver allowed only two baserunners the rest of the way, finishing with six strikeouts and a pair of walks.
Oliver’s second RBI double of the game made it 8-2 in the third, and a Lady Rocket error allowed another runner to cross the plate before Smith capped the inning with an RBI triple.
Trigg County added a run each in its last two at-bats, with Veyda Grinols driving one in the fourth with a single and Smith ending the game with a run-scoring single with one out in the fifth.
Anna Boone took the loss, allowing 11 runs, seven earned, on 12 hits with a pair of walks and five strikeouts over three and two-thirds innings. Boone and Andrea Federico each had two hits to lead the Lady Rockets at the plate.
Oliver drove in three runs and Smith finished with three hits and three RBI. Slone and Grinols each hit safely twice with a run driven in, and Smock and Fuller each had a hit and an RBI.
