
A pair of records highlighted Lyon County’s day at the Invitational of the South track meet Saturday at Marshall County.
Carter Bounds ran to a third-place finish in the boys’ 3,200-meter run with a school-record time of 11:17.16.
Meanwhile, Kyndal Hubbard ran a personal record of 2:47.84 in the girls’ 800 for an eighth-place finish, scoring the first team point for the Lady Lyons in at least four years at the Invitational of the South.
The event drew 24 girls’ teams and 22 boys’ squads.
Marshall County swept the team competitions.
