A pair of sixth-place showings led University Heights Academy’s guys at the Invitational of the South track meet Saturday at Marshall County High School in Draffenville.
Griffin McCoy finished sixth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.63 seconds while Clayton Lester was sixth in the 400-meter dash in 53.31 seconds.
Lester was also seventh in the 200 in 23.74 seconds and placed eighth in the high jump at 5 feet, 8 inches.
Logan Miller picked up a seventh-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles in 17.90 seconds. He was ninth in the 300-meter hurdles in 45.30 seconds.
Aaron Onate took seventh in the shot put at 41 feet, 2 inches.
Jude Finch was eighth in the 3,200-meter run in 11:55.33.
For UHA’s girls, Kendall Hancock took sixth in the 400 dash in 1:06.18.
Kate Adams was ninth in the high jump at 4 feet.
The 4×200-meter relay team also placed ninth.
The Blazers placed 15th in the team standings while the Lady Blazers were 22nd out of 24 schools in the event.
Marshall County swept the team titles in its own meet.
