Orange Beach only scored in one inning in its game with the Todd County Central Lady Rebels Friday night, but that one inning was more than enough. Orange Beach saw 12 of its first 13 batters reach base safely as they hit the Lady Rebels with a 13-run first inning on the way to a 13-2 win in the Lady Rebels’ final game of their Spring Break 2024 trip south.

Orange Beach had seven hits, six walks, and took advantage of one Lady Rebel error during the landslide inning. After that things settled down a good bit for the Lady Rebels but the damage had already been done. Orange Beach had only one hit for the rest of the game.

Todd County Central got on the board in the top of the fourth inning thanks to a pair of bases-loaded walks that cut the lead to 13-2. But that would be the offense for the night for the Lady Rebels.

Orange Beach limited the Lady Rebels to just two hits on the night. Naomi Gammon and Averie Luckenbill had one hit each for Todd County Central.

The Lady Rebels return to Kentucky and get ready for a district contest at home Tuesday night against Logan County.
