It’s really no surprise that Kentucky freshman Reed Sheppard has had such a demand for the Reed Sheppard Experience announced last week that he is now adding a second camp date.

He’s hosting two sessions of his unique camp Thursday night at Rupp Arena but has added a session Saturday at North Laurel High School in his hometown of London.

The Reed Sheppard Experience includes basketball instruction and a photo opportunity with Sheppard for campers. But the key is each camper will receive an autographed Reed Sheppard #15 Nike Kentucky jersey from the former North Laurel star and Kentucky Mr. Basketball.

I also think the breakout session with his parents, Jeff and Stacey Sheppard, along with his sister Madison will be a huge hit at North Laurel. Madison also played at North Laurel while Stacey was a Laurel County standout.

Pricing begins at $199 and the event is open to all ages and abilities.

More information and registration for the Reed Sheppard Experience is available at ReedSheppardLondon.com.

  1. To me this is not a good sign. It kinda seems like a farewell tour. Everyone thought Tyler Herro would stay 2 or 3 years. The same thing for reed except reed had a better first season than Herro. I think he leaves. I wish he would come back and be the go to guy. I hope he doesn’t leave Kentucky in worse shape than he found it. If he comes back and averages 20 ppg or better which would be easy if he had picks set for him to get wide open. He needs to shoot at least 8-10 threes a game and at least 12-16 shots a game he would up his average so much. Instead of playing 27 mpg he should play 34 mpg. He needs to learn to not pick his dribble up so fast that’s what got him in trouble about 80% of the time. He also needs to slide over to shooting guard and they need to pick up the best available guards in the transfer portal. If we don’t have a home run hire then we should have kept calapari and been talking to other coaches this year to find the best available option.
