Caldwell County Softball Blanked at McCracken County

A four-run third and a three-run fourth inning sent McCracken County on its way to an 8-0 victory over Caldwell County in softball action.

The win was the eighth straight for the Lady Mustangs, who are ranked No. 5 in the state and now sport a 22-4 record.

Addley Leidecker was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in for McCracken, which outhit Caldwell 12-4 in the contest.

Harper Holeman was 2-for-4 with a double for the Lady Tigers.

Anna Kate Hawes struck out 10 and did not walk a batter to pick up the win in the pitching circle for McCracken.

The Lady Mustangs added their last run in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Lady Tigers are now 13-12.

Caldwell’s girls will play their fourth-straight 1st Region opponent on Thursday when they host Mayfield.
