The Christian County girls’ track and field team recorded five new personal bests on its way to a 12th-place finish at the Area 1 Championship on the track at Paducah Tilghman High School.
RUNNING EVENTS
Kaidence Atwell was fifth in the 200-meter dash, clocking a personal best time of 27.69 seconds.
Symeria Brown was sixth in the 200 meters, also gaining a new personal best time of 27.89 seconds.
Jazmyn Rodriguez finished in 11th place in the 100-meter dash in 13.35 seconds.
Jayda Johnson came in 14th place in the 400-meters in 1:09.10.
Aubree Cline ran a personal best time in the 800 meters – 3:08.09 to finish in 22nd place.
Genesis McGee was 26th in the 100-meter dash in 14.83 seconds.
RELAYS
The 400-meter relay team came in sixth place in 52.08 seconds.
The 800-meter relay team finished in seventh place in 1:50.28.
FIELD EVENTS
Olivia Jones threw a personal best in the discus throw at 58-03, placing 21st. She also finished in 27th place in the shot put at 17-02.
Genesis McGee registered a personal best in the discus throw with a distance of 57-09 good for 22nd place.
