After helping to lead the Todd County Central Lady Rebels to the 4th Region championship game, Abby Williams will now get her chance to continue both her basketball career and her education on the collegiate level. Williams officially signed with Cumberland University Wednesday afternoon during a ceremony in the Todd Central auditorium.
Williams was the team’s second-leading scorer in 2023-2024, averaging 14.7 points per contest. She also pulled down 3.3 rebounds a game. She shot 34.5-percent from behind the 3-point line and led the team with 49 made three-pointers.
The Cumberland is an NAIA school in Lebanon, Tennessee. The Phoenix play in the Mid-South Conference.
