There was never any doubt that Addi and Anna Fourqurean would attend the same college to play soccer. It was just a matter of where.

The senior twins from University Heights Academy made their decision official on Monday when they signed to continue their soccer careers at Berry College in Georgia.

The Fourqureans have a soccer career woven with travel soccer, high school games, and playing with Kentucky’s Olympic Development Program that included a trip to England two years ago.

Those experiences have made them students of the game and in turn, better players as they get older.

For Addi, the dream of playing college soccer began in the fifth grade

“When I first started practicing in fifth grade and began taking the hard work mantra to heart and racking up those kind of days, I knew it could happen,” she said.

For Anna, college soccer came on her radar in the eighth grade.

“College coaches started reaching out to us and that’s when Addi and I sat down one evening after soccer practice and said we’re going to make this dream come true,” Anna said.

As most twins do, Addi and Anna have a bond that appears impenetrable both on and off the soccer field. That’s why it’s no surprise the fraternal twins ended up at the same college.

“This has always been a package deal. We are not going to separate. We’re tight,” Addi said.

Berry College, an NCAA Division III school, is located near Rome Georgia. The Vikings compete in the Southern Athletic Association with Birmingham Southern, Centre, Millsaps, Hendrix, Oglethorpe, Rhodes, and Sewanee.
