A former Caldwell County Lady Tiger standout has been named to a college all-region softball team.
A.J. Hollowell has been named to the Region 24 Second Team by the NJCAA.
Hollowell just completed her freshman season as an outfielder at Frontier Community College in Fairfield, Ill.
Hollowell hit .401 this season with the Bobcats, finishing the year with four home runs and 27 runs batted in.
Frontier concluded the season with a 26-27 record.
Hollowell was a career .467 hitter at Caldwell.
She was named honorable mention all-state last season with the Lady Tigers.
