Chamberlaine Just Misses School Record at State Meet (w/PHOTOS)

Todd County Central had three individual entries and four relays compete at Thursday’s Clark’s Pump N Shop Class 1A State Track and Field Meet in Lexington.

Fisher Borders was 11th in the 200-meter dash in 23.24 seconds.

The 800-meter relay team of Sonny Borders, Titus Rager, John Ross Cardwell, and B.J. Farlow came in 16th place in a season-best time of 1:35.41.

The 400-meter relay team of Max Fitzgerald, Treyvon Osborne, Sonny Borders, and Fisher Borders was 19th in 46.42 seconds.

For the ladies, senior Melanie Chamberlaine came in 13th place in the 300-meter hurdles. Her time of 49.74 seconds was a personal best and the third fastest in school history. She missed Tine Edmonds’ 34-year-old school record by .34 seconds.

Mary Beth Prater was 18th in the 300-meter hurdles in 50.88 seconds. That was a personal best clocking and sixth fastest in program history.

The 400-meter relay team of Jesslynn Ezell, Daymea Garrett, Jazaria Carter, and Ja’Mya Kay was 12th in a season-best time of 52.46 seconds – fifth fastest in program history.

The 800-meter relay team of Mary Beth Prater, Melanie Chamberlaine, Jalayah Williamson, and Ja’Mya Kay finished in 20th place in 1:55.16.
