Kentucky has depended on outscoring teams most of the season but Sunday three pitchers combined for a shutout to put UK into its second straight Super Regional.
Mason Moore threw six shutout innings and Ryan Nicholson — who became just the ninth player in UK history to have 20 homers in a season — and Émilien Pitre both homered for No. 2 Kentucky in a 5-0 win over Indiana State.
Moore extended his streak of NCAA Tournament scoreless innings to 20 1/3 going back to last season. Jackson Nove got two outs in the seventh inning before Cameron O’Brien got the final seven outs, including five strikeouts.
Kentucky will now play in its third super regional — all under coach Nick Mingioine — but will host a super regional this week for the first time because of its high national seed.

Great job! Go Cats!!!
Just disappointed that we couldn’t watch the game on SEC or regular ESPN channel. GO CATS!!
Same here. Not sure why with UK ranking that happened
A great season for the bat Cats and a great post season to date. Many of the nation’s better teams are SEC teams. If we make it to Omaha, we will have to prove that we are the better SEC team. It would really be nice to beat Tennessee for the title. Go CATS!!!
Heck Barry I will be elated if they can just get to Omaha for the first time and really there should be no pressure on UK at the World Series if they geet there
These Terrific pictures capture the excitement that this team generates.
Yes they do Professor
