With a historic high school basketball career nearly in his rearview mirror, Lyon County’s Travis Perry will wear the No. 1 jersey for Kentucky this weekend in the Kentucky/Indiana All-Star games.
Since winning the KHSAA Sweet 16 state championship in March, Perry has kept himself busy with basketball both on and off the court.
Perry, the state’s 2024 Mr. Basketball, was the lone recruit of John Calipari to remain with Kentucky when Mark Pope was named head coach in April, saying he has always wanted to play for the University of Kentucky.
After this weekend’s All-Star games, Perry will begin his transformation from a high school player to a college player and discussed those plans in this YSE interview.
